BDT-45AM Heavy Use Antimicrobial Nano-Ceramic Clear Coat
nano-Coat 45AM is an Antimicrobial formulation that helps to lower the bio-burden of the applied area and continuously protects treated surfaces from the colonization of microorganisms ie. virus, bacteria, mold, mildew and fungus for as long as the coating remains intact on the treated surface.
nano-Coat 45AM is a high performance, specially synthesized polysilazane polymer coating that ambient cures and develops a covalent bond with the substrate that it is applied to, bonding the antimicrobial coating and the substrate on a molecular level.
nano-Coat 45AM is an extremely hydrophobic coating with super slick properties that greatly reduce the ability of dirt and debris to bond to applied surfaces due to the radical reduction in the coefficient of friction. This product is also available with BioDefense Technologies’ additive “nano-Grip”, and though incredibly smooth to the touch when cured, it will offer an extreme slip resistant grip in wet conditions. Aggregate additives are available to satisfy unique client solutions as well.
nano-Coat 45AM works on most all surface types such as metal and metal alloys, plastics, wood, glass, granite, access handles of any kind, doorknobs, high touch traffic areas for kitchens, bathrooms, classrooms, playground equipment, gym equipment, public dining areas, entrances, exits, storefronts, countertops, keypads, ATMs… floor surfaces of virtually every kind… treat almost any thing or surface area that experiences high hand or foot traffic.
nano-Coat 45AM is an incredibly durable, scratch resistant, extremely water repellent, clear finish formulated for surfaces such as plastics, polished metal, metal alloys, painted surfaces, powder coated or Gel-coated® surfaces and it protects those treated surfaces from UV damage, fading and other environmental corrosion from consistent, reoccurring use of standard protocol disinfectants as would be part of any typical cleaning regimen.
nano-Coat 45AM has excellent UV inhibitors and will protect your valuable surfaces from fade, oxidation is standard protocol cleaner resistance.

- May be applied by wiping directly on the intended surface with a tightly napped applicator sponge, a microfiber cloth or a pressurized hand sprayer with . Best practice = wipe over the sprayed area with a clean microfiber cloth to achieve a smooth and even coverage.
- Warmer than the ambient temp as well as an increase in air flow will reduce the amount of time needed to achieve ‘Dry to Touch’, generally 20-30 min.
- Exposure to sunlight will also assist in reducing the amount of time needed for a fully cross-linked cure.
